Rodah Sila founded Shakeys Cakes & Events in 2015, driven by a lifelong love for baking and beautiful celebrations. What started as a home kitchen dream quickly grew, with clients falling in love with the care and attention to detail in every cake and event.
For ten years, Shakeys Cakes & Events served clients faithfully, handling everything from intimate birthday cakes to full event planning. The business became known for its personal touch, delicious cakes, and beautiful celebrations.
In 2025, Curtis Muasya joined the vision, bringing expertise in marketing, set design, and IT. Together, they launched Events District as a dedicated event design brand under Shakeys Cakes & Events, bringing fresh energy and modern design to Kenya's event scene.
Today, Shakeys Cakes & Events continues to serve clients with cakes and events, while Events District handles larger celebrations, luxury weddings, and corporate galas. Both brands work in harmony, ensuring every client gets exactly what they need.
