Agreement to Terms
Acceptance of Terms
- By accessing or using the Events District website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service
- If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services
- These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access our services
- We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice
Our Services
Event Design Services
- Wedding decoration and planning services
- Birthday and graduation party decorations
- Corporate event design and execution
- Luxury picnic setups
- Custom event styling and consultation
- Cakes and confectionery (through Shakeys Cakes & Events)
Quote Engine
- Instant quotes available for select services
- Quotes are estimates and subject to final confirmation
- Prices may vary based on final requirements and availability
- All quotes are valid for 15 days from date of issue
Bookings & Payments
Deposit Requirements
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking
- Deposits must be paid within 7 days of receiving your quote
- Your event date is not secured until the deposit is received
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to another date subject to availability
Final Payment
- Remaining balance is due 14 days before your event date
- Late payments may result in cancellation of services
- We accept M-Pesa, bank transfers, and credit/debit cards
- All payments must be made in Kenyan Shillings (KES)
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 30+ days before event: 50% of total amount refunded (deposit non-refundable)
- Cancellations 14-29 days before event: 25% of total amount refunded
- Cancellations less than 14 days before event: No refund
- All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email
Revisions & Changes
Design Revisions
- Major changes to event scope may require a new quote
- All revision requests must be submitted at least 21 days before your event
Date Changes
- Date changes are subject to availability
- A rescheduling fee of KES 10,000 applies for date changes
- Date changes must be requested at least 30 days before original event date
- Only one date change is permitted per booking
Intellectual Property
Our Content
- All website content, images, designs, and logos are property of Events District
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without permission
- Portfolio images are protected by copyright
- Unauthorized use of our content may result in legal action
Your Content
- You retain ownership of any content you submit to us
- By submitting content, you grant us permission to use it for service delivery
- We may request to use event photos in our portfolio with your consent
- You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you provide
Limitations of Liability
Service Delivery
- We strive to deliver services as agreed, but cannot guarantee perfection
- We are not liable for issues caused by third-party vendors
- Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for your event
- We are not responsible for weather-related disruptions
Force Majeure
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control
- Force majeure includes natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government actions
- In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or provide partial refunds
- Events cancelled due to government restrictions will receive full credit
User Conduct
Prohibited Activities
- Harassing or abusing our staff or vendors
- Providing false or misleading information
- Attempting to interfere with our website or services
- Using our services for any illegal purpose
- Sharing quotes or proposals with third parties without permission
Third-Party Services
Vendors & Partners
- We work with trusted third-party vendors for certain services
- We are not responsible for the actions of independent contractors
- Vendor issues will be addressed with our assistance but are ultimately their responsibility
- We recommend separate agreements with vendors for large-scale events

Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya
- Any disputes shall be resolved in Nairobi, Kenya
- You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts
Resolution Process

- If unresolved, mediation will be attempted before legal action
- Both parties agree to act in good faith to resolve disputes
- Legal action may be taken as a last resort
